The rooms have been redone in the past year I believe. the motif is great and staying with the lodge's theme. However, sliding barn door (2) on the bathroom are a complete hassle. Shower door is poorly thought out, since you have to be in the shower to turn it on, and with an approximate wait of 1 minute for hot water, not very pleasant. Bathroom overall is very small. Bed was comfortable, pillows were comfortable, heater/AC was very loud. Veil Pavillion was scheduled for NFR viewing parties for the entire 10 days, however they were not prepared as they have been in the past. Additionally, the last day, they had scheduled another show following the completion of the NFR, and they removed one of the screens, and turned the volume off prior to the end. I had to go through two employees who refused to identify themselves, and finally I found a subject who identified himself as a manager and he ultimately got the volume turned back on until the show was finished. I have been coming to the Silverton/Viel Pavillion for many, many years, and unfortunately this will probably be my last for this venue. Unfortunately, I had convinced 4 other groups to come to this venue, raving about the past years, and they were as disappointed as I.

Upon check-in, we were given a room on the first floor right outside a speaker at the pool with loud base. The room was also for handicap people. When we went back to the front desk, we asked for our room to be switched and was given a room on the third floor, but the room was off the freeway. We were up all night with the loud roaring cars of a very busy freeway And thin windows and walls. We could hear everything. The following morning we asked to be moved, which we told we would be however we were unaware of that room would not be available until 5 PM that night so we paid for a two night stay but really we were out of our room all day and could not have access to the room. We were actually very upset and we were credited $50 at any restaurant in their property. We ate at the Mexican taco restaurant and it was terrible. The service was terrible. The food was terrible. The hotel did go through a renovation and the property is decent. We appreciated the free parking and free valet but we really would just not stay here again if we’re going to Vegas we’d like a little bit more upscale it is about a 10 to 15 minute drive away from the strip so it is not that far, but it does feel kind of far away from all the action. The room itself, although both very loud were remodeled and nice. Another criticism would be the bathroom is very small and the water pressure sucked. The bed was comfortable, which is important.

To start i was not allowed to check in until after 5 pm because our room wasnt ready even though check in was 3pm. The food was horrible and security was following us around as if we criminals. The pool area was closed at 9 pm and this was New Years weekend.
