It's great being off the Strip yet close enough to get a quick, affordable Uber.
Coming from Australia, it was a shock to be hit with cigarette smoke the moment we walked through the doors of the Hotel & Casino. It's perfectly legal to smoke indoors in this casino, and many others, and you don't get use to it. You have to deal with it.
Check in was interesting, as staff weren't exactly welcoming. We were checked into our room, only to find out the next day we were supposed to be in a completely different room. As we had already unpacked, we weren't going to be moved and stayed put.
Be aware, you will be charged if you have any items delivered to the hotel. This is in addition to any normal delivery fees from the business sending things to you. The Hotel charges an additional fee, depending on the size of the parcel, for accepting it on your behalf and storing it in a cupboard. This was news to us as we had checked with the hotel before if we could have a couple of parcels delivered to the hotel for our arrival, and at no time was a charge mentioned for accepting delivery. This hasn't happened to us in any other city of hotel we have stayed in the USA.
We weren't excited about having to phone in a request for our room to be serviced. Honestly, when you are booked in to stay for 6 nights, you'd think room service would just happen like it does pretty much any other place we've stayed....but not here.
