First off, the $25 hotel credit that Hotels.com gives for booking through them is only redeemable at the casino or pool bars according to Venetian desk staff. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF TAKING ITEMS FROM THE MINI BAR THINKING THIS CREDIT WILL COVER THE COST. You will be charged for these items, and a can of Coke is $14. The rooms have been recently renovated with new paint and furniture. Smoke from the casino still makes its way up into the room towers. The rest of the hotel is pretty much the same. Stay was for two days over a weekend,so not long enough to get a good feel for what else has changed there. Overall, my stay was average after the shock of checking out.

Beautiful place and room — very spacious and clean. I have no complaints about our stay except for the check-in experience. It was a bit stressful. I tried to check in through the kiosk machine, and two staff members came over, offering to help. They told me there was no reservation under my name and suggested that either The Venetian or the third party made a mistake. I immediately called the third party, and they confirmed that my reservation and name were perfectly fine. I was on hold for about 30–40 minutes, and even the third party couldn’t reach the hotel as they were also on hold. Eventually, I went straight to the main check-in desk, and they found my reservation right away — without any issues — and mentioned that this happens sometimes but not to worry. At first, I was quite suspicious and looked around for the two staff members who told me my booking didn’t exist, but I couldn’t find them. They had also commented that my name was very long, so “maybe it was entered wrong,” which I found quite unprofessional. Overall, it’s a beautiful hotel with amazing rooms, but I just want to share my experience so others are aware that some staff can be a little careless or disrespectful during check-in.
