The Space: This historic Launceston cottage is packed with character while offering modern comforts. The top floor, accessed from the street, features two bedrooms (queen and single), a lounge, a study, and reverse-cycle air conditioning for year-round comfort.
A steep staircase leads to the lower floor, where you'll find the fully appointed kitchen, bathroom, laundry, second lounge, and third bedroom. The exposed stonework wall is a unique feature, showcasing the bedrock beneath the road outside. The kitchen is well-equipped with essentials, including a dishwasher and Nespresso machine, and the laundry has both a washer and dryer for convenience.
If stairs aren’t for you, there's side access with a ramp to the lower level. Outside, enjoy a private outdoor area with a BBQ, seating, and a small grassy space—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

Other things to note: - A $50 fee will be charged if guests fail to check out by the agreed time, with an additional charge for every 15 minutes thereafter. - Please note that there are security cameras in the upstairs bedroom, facing out the window at front door and outside on the lower floor facing the back door. Please feel free to turn security cameras off during your stay, but if you do, please remember to switch them back on again. - Floor heating downstairs is on and set to a minimum temperature. It must stay on due to damp issues. - Try not to overload switches. The kitchen and bathroom are all on the same circuit. Property location was great; the house was clean and well maintained.I was disappointed that the property did not have a designated parking space.Our only option was paid street parking, which potentially would cost an extra 35 a day in parking. I feel this needs to more highlighted in the listing as we may not have chosen the property for this reason.Also check inn was delayed as cleaning was not done in time.Overall, a nice property in great location, but still a little disappointed with highlighted issues

Closeness to town centre was great. Unfortunately the rooms weren't clean with clothes and dirt under the bed from previous clients, and a potent smell downstairs that we had to have attended by the property to resolve. The ironing board, iron, and duster were sitting in the middle of the door to the bathroom which was odd. External bin was full on arrival. Door to middle bedroom had a broken door handle. Washing machine leaked and left large pools of water by the bathroom door. Chip in glass that nearly harmed when using it. Crack in upstairs bedroom wood door. QR code on welcome sign was to a different property and link emailed could not be opened for access to information on property.
