This house was wonderful. It was stocked with anything we could think of and we felt at home. There is a beautiful lake and plenty of room for all 10 of us. We enjoyed the location and small town close by. There was plenty of things to do when we wanted to relax at the house - puzzles, games, movies, hot tub. Sam was an amazing host, we enjoyed meeting him and even got to see his baby ducks and chickens! We'd love to come back when it's warmer and hangout in the pool!

Truly loved staying here!!!! Hope to come back. It was located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. We love walking around the lake where there was always some geese. The host was magnificent with providing information about the house, about local restaurants which we loved and also about area tourist attractions.

Great place for 8 guys to call hq for the bourbon trail and keeneland. Lots of space to spread out while at hq. The pool table was a hit as we stayed at the house most evenings and the large dining table was super convenient. We didn’t get around to using the other amenities but that was our mistake.

The house in located just outside Nicholasville and a short drive to Lexington. Was very central to the activities that we had planned and had a great setup for the group we had staying with us. The outdoor fire pit and hot tub was a great addition along with the TV in the main living room. If planning a quite get together or a Bourbon tour this is a great choice.

I would give this 6 stars if possible. Great location, great amenities. The pool, hot tub, and fire pit were excellent. We loved the outdoor deck as well. Nice, big kitchen and kitchen table. Sam was a fantastic host. Very helpful and courteous.

We had a great time

Our large family stayed at the home for 3 nights. There was a lot to do for the adults and kids ages 5 to 14 - nice pool with floats and volleyball, a great hot tub, corn hole, a neat tree house, a big trampoline, basketball goal and a large firepit with plenty of wood. Inside we played board games, air hockey, pool and foosball. We never were bored or felt the need to leave the property to go do something. The rooms and beds were nice. The huge kitchen table and island worked out great for a large group. We also used the nice tables on the back deck and under the pergola. We truly enjoyed our stay. Sam was very good at communicating with us. It was a memorable and fun stay!

Beautiful place! There were NO mosquitoes or any other pesky bugs! The pool and hot tub were great! The pool stayed clean, came with so many floats, and the outdoor area was very relaxing! Sam was an amazing host! We would gladly stay here again!

Amazing Getaway Near Lexington

We have stayed in KY several times and this location was our favorite house, host and location out of all of them. Communication with the host, Sam, was great! He texted us all the information up front and met us at the house to give us a quick run down on everything. He was very friendly and welcoming. The house and yard was great for our multi generational family. There was something for everyone. The house was fully stocked and we didn’t really need to bring anything. Between the hot tub, pool, playset, trampoline, blackstone, and game room, we felt like it was home away from home. The location was great and close to everything you want or need. We had zero issues and can’t think of anything other than staying longer to make this a better vacation getaway.

Our family had a great time staying at this lodge! Everyone enjoyed all the activities that were available. The grand kids LOVED the pool, trampoline and playset. We all also enjoyed the firepit !! Great place to stay. Hope to stay here again in the near future!!

Sam is an excellent host and is willing to help in any way to make your stay pleasant!! The house is very spacious and full of all the appliances and supplies you would need. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood. Sam has everything you need for a fun filled family vacation. We so enjoyed the covered deck where in between swimming in the pool we could sit and talk and still watch the grandkids while they played in the pool, jumped on the trampoline or climbed in the treehouse/swing. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the spacious kitchen and the large dining table seated all twelve of us while we ate. The guys and kids both had so many fun competitions playing pool and air hockey upstairs in the game room. The street goes around a lake where the grandkids loved riding their bikes and watching the geese. The house is also in a great location for easy travel to many sights. We were able to see The Ark, Shaker Village, the Kentucky Horse Park and ice cream isn’t far away:). We would definitely recommend this home!!

Heaven after a Horse Show

We have a tradition of attending the K3DE as a close to our daughters’ IEA Team riding season. This year we decided to all stay together in a house. Cedar and Stone Lodge was a perfect place for us to eat and rest up between each days’ events. Everyone had a room with comfortable, clean beds. The girls enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Unfortunately, we didn’t use the fire pit as it was as a rainy weekend. Everyone had plenty of space in the kitchen which had everything we needed to cook and clean up with. Sam, our host, was attentive and had things all ready for us. Definitely a wonderful place for a large group whether you are just staying there or have other activities in Lexington.

Spacious Lodge home with plenty of amenities

Sam was an awesome host. He stopped by several time to ensure we could get the bonfire going and once to drop off some beverages for us to try. The lodge is very spacious, there were four couples and with five bedrooms we all had plenty of room. There were multiple different activities we could do including bags, hot tub and patio tables to play cards and hang out! If ever in this area I would highly recommend staying. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly.We will be back soon!

Great place for multi-generational family gathering!

We rented Stone and Cedar Lodge from Sam, who was an excellent host! Our kids and teens really enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, trampoline, and game room with pool table, hockey and foosball. And the little touches really made it special - the rooms had ample closet space, towels were luxuriously thick, there were plenty of extra blankets and quilts. And our host was very accessible, checked on the hot tub, made sure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time - highly recommend renting this house from Sam!

Excellent Rental for Groups

Our group was in for a conference in Lexington. It is a good house for groups or a big family. The kitchen is well equipped and was very helpful as we cooked several meals. The kids loved the trampoline and the treehouse. Renter is extremely prompt and helpful in communication. Thanks for a great stay!

40th Birthday Celebration Weekend

We absolutely loved the property! We talked a couple times of coming back with our children. We were very impressed with the house, check in/check out, and the amenities on the property. The only slight complaint we had was there seemed to be a bit of dust in the house that made a few of us have a little bit of allergies. Everything else was absolutely perfect!!

The Best Kentucky Hospitality Ever!

We loved our stay from beginning to end! From my first communication with Sam and throughout the duration of my family's visit, Sam was responsive and made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Check in was super easy due to Sam's great communications beforehand. We caught the outer band of Hurricane Helene, lost power for 1 1/2 days, Sam generously shared his generator with us. The house was super comfortable for my big family, clean, well maintained and stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils, etc. you may need for food prep; plus outdoor BBQ and flat iron grill making cooking a breeze. There was so much to do at the house for all ages, the hot tub a big hit. The area surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Sam shared feeding time of his flock of ducks and geese with us, which our little ones loved. It was delightful. If our travels bring us back to KY, we most definitely won't hesitate to contact Sam ~ there's no better place away from home. Thanks so very much, Sam ~ The Opatz Family

Girls Trip

The house was very clean and up to date with all the furnishings plus more. We really enjoyed our stay with so much to do at the house. Pool, hot tub and fire pit was our favorite. All beds were comfortable and large kitchen with island made it great for all of us to have breakfast and dinner together. Would recommend this house if you needed a get a way or celebration gathering just outside of Lexington. Sam was amazing and was willing to help with anything we needed.

Bourbon trail gem
