Long story first room ok but not the “deluxe” room we paid for (in renovated) so we changed rooms second room way better But: major renovations taking place so there was no lobby due to this we had to go up 1 floor cross over to then go down one floor in another building to get to our room still managed to charge the $37 a day resort fee however tv didn’t work for half the stay the did comp is parking (least they could do).not a bad place. It won’t be back. On a positive note the staff were very friendly and mostly helpful

Clean room and staff was very friendly. NO laundry on site as advertised. On site restaurant was ok, just make reservations! They were completely EMPTY on several days and would tell you they had no room due to reservations, and not a single seat was occupied. Made no sense and they lost customers who were there and ready to eat. Pool was VERY cold but the kids had fun on the slide.

Our stay at Outrigger was quite pleasant. The room was cleaned nicely, and all the staff was friendly. We loved the beach area, the drive way into the hotel is really beautiful, and the overall upkeep of the outdoor area is really great, looks amazing! We were a bit surprised with rather confusing entrance door, looks more like a staff entrance than a hotel door. The hotel rooms are a bit outdated but cleaned well. It was convenient to have a breakfast and dinner options right at the property, a beautifully setup restaurant with live music at night. Satisfied overall.

The lobby is under construction and the path to get to the pool is a route through multiple buildings and floors. The air conditioning is either on or off even though you can select a temperature- it just gets colder in the room even when we turned it higher. Housekeeping never cleaned our room during our two night stay. When I called the front desk for clean towels I was accused of having the do not disturb sign on my door. Breakfast at the restaurant was mediocre and served me an omelet with cheese even though I am dairy free and ordered it without cheese. I would not stay here again.

Yes, the room was great and staff. Unfortunately the renovations made hard for reception area to be more a formative way tu resources and spa area was disappointment.

The room was renovated and clean, however, the tub was peeling. The property was under renovation so it was confusing to navigate the property initially. The front desk person gave us the long route to our room at check in which was disappointing. The gym needs improvement as the equipment is rusty. There is only one microwave for the entire hotel. It was a hassle to go to a different building to use a small microwave. Overall, we had a decent stay and the staff is friendly. I will likely stay elsewhere next time.

Many amenities broken and under repair, or just closed and unusable. Front office staff made large erroneous mistaken charges at check in, later reversed. Defensive when confronted. Hotel currently under major renovation, not communicated at time of booking and a major disappointment at check in. One example of very many: back hoe literally at pool and noisily digging 3 days before Christmas. Attempted to cancel and move hotels, front office sadly unhelpful. Otherwise, hotel staff was terrific.

Pros: Room was clean and nicely appointed. And beautifully decorated. Con: our room location however, left much to be desired. Right across from the microwave/ice/vending meant it was loud with people at all hours and sometimes crowds of families or kids would be gathered outside our room. Also, our view was not great, looked at all of the construction and storage area. Luckily, we weren’t in our room that much so no need to say anything but definitely would have preferred a better location on the property. Lastly, all of the bellman were fantastic. Great guys. The one restaurant was very crowded and waits were long. There was no front desk or concierge and staff was overworked. Gym equipment t was rusty or not working. The pool bathroom had 1/2 stalls boarded up with plywood and an overflowing sink. Hotel in disrepair.

The resort property is decent, but the service is far below Hawaii standards. The staff was unwelcoming, rude, and gave us incorrect information. Didn't found the staff helpful at all point during the stay. The resort is currently under renovation, making it difficult to access certain amenities. Additionally, the cultural evening was moved from the pool area to a cramped space, which ruined the experience. While construction is understandable, there is no excuse for the poor attitude of the staff. This was my least "welcoming" experience in Hawaii, and I am not coming back to this property

We stayed here starting October 18, 2026, and unfortunately, the stay was not enjoyable. The hotel is not in good condition and is currently undergoing renovations, but this was not mentioned anywhere on the hotel’s website or booking platforms. Getting from the main entrance to our room was extremely inconvenient—especially with a baby. We had to take an elevator up, walk a long distance, cross a bridge, and then take another elevator down. This alone made the stay frustrating for a family. The room condition was poor, with visible water damage and mold seeping through the walls. The room felt damp the entire day, and the AC was unable to control the moisture. Our clothes felt wet even after being washed, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The swimming pool itself is decent, but the water slide is closed, despite still being advertised in photos—don’t be misled by that. We were given a drink coupon, but it was limited to one specific alcoholic drink (Mai Tai), which felt misleading. Given the ongoing renovations, the room price was not justified. I’m giving 2 stars only because they offered a few activities like yoga and Hawaiian dance. However, there was nothing specifically for small kids. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for families. There are much better hotels nearby offering significantly better value for the price.
