The whole resort was completely outdated!! There was construction going on that I didn’t know about. I would not have booked here had I known. One of the pools was closed again there was no advance notice of this and it was the pool that is featured in the description. I feel like I was robbed for the price I paid 😞

Everything was bad from the the lobby being closed, the wifi and TV not working in the rooms, loud slamming doors, no laundry room, terrible yet expensive food, staff that seemed irritated and or overwhelmed, things in the pool area not working like waterfalls and a hot tub, expensive parking and having to walk long distances to get anywhere at the resort, closed spa, the fire pit not working, construction junk everywhere, remodeled rooms that was just new paint over water damage and any other flaws including the bath tub which was chipping, lights and chargers in rooms not working, Expedia gold VIP access meant nothing at the resort as they said they don't honor it, and a terrible view of a dirty pond and a decapitated, fenced off building. All this and more without warning after paying full price for rooms and resort fees and still had to pay $157 to use a cabana despite the resort being almost empty. To top it off, a heartless and seemingly ChatGPT generated email saying sorry and they hope to do better in the future after negative responses to their survey. We feel so ripped off and cheated and could go on and on about all the bad at this place during our stay. We should be getting some sort of refund!

The staff was great! The actual hotel was being remodeled during my stay and the rooms shown on the website were not all up to date. Kauai gets a lot of rain and the hallway ceiling connecting the different buildings were leaking leading to wet carpets. Although it was being renovated, a notice of the current construction, closure of one of the restaurants and condition of the hotel should have been transparent.

Nice hotel friendly staff, doing construction on the lobby but did not effect our stay. Room was clean, had a nice partial ocean view. Don’t stay in room 3301 unless you want to listen to the elevator motors running all night. Sounded like the motors were in our closet. Hotel is in good location easy to get to restaurant and activities. Would stay here again.

The room was lovely but the signage was terrible and confusing. The website and the Expedia info did not make clear how much of the “resort” was boarded up. There was not even an indoor lounge, and construction workers were traipsing in and out of the only entrance. Not enough bathrooms, only one packed hot tub available (the other was broken) and it was a poorly-marked maze to get around. The unavailable amenities should not be advertised. More than one group felt they had been swindled. They should not have been allowed to charge a resort fee under the circumstances.

The room was perfect. Clean, spacious, Loved that the patio doors had screens. Left the doors open every night to listen to the wind and waves. The food was delicious, the pool n spa were wonderful. The staff was always pleasant and smiling!!

Check on was easy but Expedia didn't reveal substantial extra charges: $29 to park per day, $50 for 'resort fees' Plus Hawaii tax So $400 extra for 3 nights!! Room was very clean and quiet. Restaurant is a joke and is the only place for drinks and food as they are going through a major renovation. Don't believe the four star ratings, BS For the restaurant

Air conditioner in my room made a lot of squeaking noises. Also we were right across fron the (very noisy!) ice maker. Pretty noisy hotel which is currently under a lot of construction.

The bathroom was super dirty - only the middle part of the sink was cleaned, look at the top edges of the sink it’s full of gunk that could be easily cleaned. Same the bathtub had stain and hair we saw it the minute we entered the bathroom. As we had little kids, we bought a small dish soap at the nearby store and cleaned the bathroom ourselves with the small towels and let daily housekeeping upkeep. Accessibility; if you have a stroller or anything with wheels - you will have to always deal with stairs even on the first floor. Otherwise take 2 different elevator go from 1st to third floor and back to the other end of the hallway to have a no stairs route to exit building 1. PARKING is a nightmare since they are selling more spaces than they have available so people park however they want, a car taking 2 spots is normal I guess, or the car parked in the middle of the driveway or on the lawn is also normal - everyone payed to have somewhere to park I guess. I’m giving it 3 stars because lunch was good and affordable at the bar by the pool, the towel service is unmatched, staff was super nice and helpful so Mahalo.

The room was very clean and the resort is nice. I had a hard time heating up food so I suggest having a microwave, or a way to heat up food, in every building. I was disappointed that 1 of 2 available jacuzzi's was broken and we were not informed or discounted for that.

Major renovation going on there unfortunately. Those renovations caused a lot of foot detours that were super inconvenient. Customer service was great, food was amazing, and beautiful.

Room itself was nice. Staff were all very friendly and courteous. Front desk hopefully get a makeover. They were under renovations at the time we were there. There is only 1 restaurant and 1 bar by the pool area (not swim up) There is really no common seating area to go when it rains or in general.
