The Aurea hotel was beautiful. It started right from the moment we walked into the hotel. We were offered complimentary drinks by the manager. He was so outgoing and super friendly! The room itself was absolutely stunning. We did not have the opportunity to swim in the pool because there is so much to see in Lisbon. However, we did go look at it and wished we had more time there.

I had a great stay at the Aurea Museum. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with thoughtful amenities that made the experience relaxing and convenient. The location is excellent—within walking distance to plenty of dining and shopping options, as well as major attractions like Praça do Comércio. It’s a great base for exploring the city while enjoying a touch of comfort and style. Would definitely recommend!

The guided tour in the museum was a plus. The staff was eager to find solutions to minor issues encountered during the stay. The rooms were spacious, the breakfast was very good, the location was amazing. I only have good things to say about the hotel and its staff.

Amazing hotel - great location

Booked this hotel for my wife’s 30th Birthday. Her family also stayed here and it was a surprise to her that they were staying. The hotel were very discreet when talking about the booking and their help with booking taxis and giving directions were greatly appreciated. The rooms were spacious and very clean. We also used the spa pool and saunas. Overall I could not rate the hotel more. The price for breakfast was a little high, so we opted to eat in the city. Lots of nice places to get something to eat and drink!

Please stay away from this hotel! I was going to leave a better review because of the location and the beauty of the hotel. However, we were robbed of cash from the room. We did not expect anyone to be coming into the room. I thought this was a one off incident but I’ve now found two other reviews (one here and one on google) about people being robbed. Also, booked because we wanted a pool and you don’t know until you get there that pool usage is limited because of capacity issues and you have to reserve it. The room also had an odd smell. Overall, we paid a lot to feel very unsafe ultimately. It was very violating to know someone touched our stuff. We don’t think we’ll ever get the money back but we’re almost positive cleaning staff was behind this because we hadn’t asked cleaning staff to come in but our room was cleaned and items moved around.
