A wonderful experience

It is my second time staying at Olissippo in 15 years and their service and facilities are still high standard. Ms Sandra in particular was quite friendly and professional.

Great location, close to the Oriente train station, Vasco da Gama mall, lots of dining options (Parque das Nacoes), and the airport. The hotel staff were friendly despite being busy, and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The hotel also did a great job communicating with me before we stayed there, as they had some questions about our booking due to my having reserved two rooms. They got us a nice area at the end of a hallway that had a door to close off our two rooms, making it more like a suite. Sweet!

Disgusted and did not meet expectations at all!

Not good at all! The pillows had sweaty smell on them that got onto my hair and I felt disgusting! The breakfast was okay but the disturbing thing was that I noticed silverfish bug crawling in the washroom. The first night we got there then the next day I left a piece of my clothes on the countertop in the washroom and found that it was eaten by one of the silverfish the silver wet fish was eating my clothes then my husband opened his suitcase and half of his new clothes were all eaten I notified the hotel staff and all they said was that they will send Housekeeping to take care of the issue. I went back and read reviews, and apparently the hotel knew about this bug issue and they did not care to let us know or resolve the issue and get rid of the bug immediately now our suitcases are in the garage and we’re scared to open them because I do not want the bug to get into my house cause there’s so much inconvenience as we were so stressed about this issue during our vacation time we had to run to the convenience store to buy lavender packs and we had to unpack everything when we are there and pack again and again to make sure that the book did not get into our suitcases very very disappointed and I would never ever recommend this hotel again to anyone!!

Good hotel for a short stay

This was a good hotel, very corporate looking and feeling. Small room, like the standard transit hotel. I don't think it would be comfortable for a longer vacation stay.

Second review for the same property. We received a free suite upgrade which we are grateful for! It was a very comfortable stay. In terms of improvement, I’d recommend adding a soap dish as the soap tends to slip into the sink very easily.
