Loch Awe Station accommodation from NZ$285

I can't belive I stumbled upon this little gem of a spot! Due to multiple ferries getting canceled we had to last minute pivot 3 days of our trip, since we were unable to get over to Barra and back. It's not easy to find a hotel to accomodate 3 guests in one room in the UK so that was priority number 1! Let me tell you Matthew and the rest of the incredible staff... absolutley lovely! Crazy scenario upon our very late arrival and Matthew and Biscuit appeared out of nowhere to the rescue! It was pitch black out so we truly had no clue where we were, what the grounds looked like... just happy that we had showers and beds to sleep in. He helped us to our suite and got us all settled in. My only complaint... he wouldn't let us keep Busicut for the night. LOL Woke up to the most amazing views, over looking the loch, chickens free roaming and sunshine on our faces. It was alomost out of a movie it was so beautiful. Not only the room was amazing but the food! The food!! We will be thinking about the food for quite sometime. The freshly baked breads, the pickeled veggies, the chicken liver pate, our farm fresh eggs on toast the chef made specially for us. The Ben Cruachan Inn will be one of the best memories from an adventure of a lifetime! Thank you soo very much!!

Such a unique place to stay, and exactly what I wanted. It’s built on stilts into the side of a hill, just above a fabulous Inn. Walking distance (400m ish) from Lochawe train station. It’s not a hotel, so for the nightly cost if you want a hotel this isn’t it. But the view and location if you want to be at peace, in nature with the most incredible views and backdrop, this is it. Very comfortable beds, quiet, fantastic warm shower. Everything we needed (and I’d packed things expecting it to be basic). Tracey would super helpful when I contacted her before our stay. Didn’t need any help when there. We will come back.

The property was lovely! The location was great. Kate and her husband were so friendly and welcoming! Our girls loved speaking to Mrs.Kate and telling her about our day and what they did. They also gave great recommendations. We would definitely book again!
