Very clean and comfy - would happily stay again

I stayed in a twin room for three nights in September 2025. The room was very clean, which to me is the most important thing, and the bed was very comfy. We had everything we needed. We did actually swap rooms after the first night as the first room overlooked a large courtyard that was a bit noisy during the night, but the second room was quiet. My stay was for a hospital visit, and the hotel is very handy for UCL hospital. There are lots of nice places to eat at night within a short walk. I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so can’t comment on the food. I had a bit of a problem getting the WiFi going initially as it would only allow me to connect one device (I needed to use my phone and my iPad). Apparently it should be possible to connect four (there were two of us staying in the room). The receptionist tried to help but wasn’t able to, but he referred me to his colleague who soon showed me a way round the problem. Thereafter I had no problem at all connecting with either device for the remaining three days. I’d very happily stay again as it was so clean, and I’d recommend it to others.

The City Sleeper is one of the best value for the location in London. Very convenient to the transit system. Room very clean, staff friendly, and the buffet adequate.

Look Elsewhere

No shower curtain. Shower worked poorly. Sink and tub drains functioned poorly. Check in was awful, with only 1 person working the desk, I had to wait 30 minutes. That's not what I want on vacation. Room was too warm. There was no control over room temperature. They provided a table top fan, and it helped, but that's not what I want at a big city hotel.

Lovely staff and room

Staff were very nice and helpful. The room was a decent size and very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. The shower was great and toiletries nice. I wouldn’t stay again due to the traffic noise. I’m a light sleeper so it kept me awake. I couldn’t fault the hotel apart from that.

Room was comfortable, even though there's no air conditioning but we managed with the fan and open windows, we lucked out with good weather and not too hot. Hotel has nothing fancy, the breakfast was average but a bit overpriced at 19 pounds.
