The hotel has large rooms which is a plus. Otherwise standard hotel. The restaurant food belongs in the 1970’s and the hotel can surely do better

Good location but an ordinary hotel

I had to wait 30 minutes before I could check-in, they need more staff at reception, this is a very large hotel and very busy. Bathroom suite was outdated for a 4 star hotel. Trains run on the back of the hotel so there is noise from trains passing regularly.

Fab base to stay

We have stayed in a great many hotels over the years but have wanted to stay here many times but couldn’t. Now this will be the first to contact everything was great. From location to the standard of everything regarding the hotel. Food cleanliness the staff standard of room just couldn’t fault anything.i worked in hotels so I’m fussy so I’m thrilled. Well done everyone!!!!!superb I every way

Disappointing

The hotel is very dated. Telephone and TV didn’t work, no waterbottles and no handsoap in the bathroom (handcreme instead of soap)! Went to the reception and the Tv and telephone was fixed quickly. Asked again for water and soap and reception said it was already delivered.. I explained that I had been in the room for the past 2 hours and no one had come. Eventually the housekeeping came with 1 bottle of water, although we were 2 persons in the room. He also said that there was no soap. Apparently the didn’t have any in stock!! We had breakfast in the Club lounge, very basic and the man in charge didn’t understand much English. We were given vouchers for happy hour in the bar. The wine they served for happy hour was a very cheap wine, not even worth the reduced price. We checked out at 12 and needed to store our suitcases since our flight was later that evening. To my surprise they charged £2,50 per bag. The last morning they were drilling close to our room, very disturbing with the noise. I had upgraded our room but felt that it was not worth it at all! The management needs to take a critical look at the way the place is run! I have stayed there a couple of times before, due to the location. This time it was more like Fawlty Tower. Will not stay there again!

We had a lovely spacious suite. The. Owe over London was great. Only thing I can say was the fridge was noisy. Overall the stay was lovely. Would definitely stay again.

No soap in my room. I went down to reception as soon as I noticed, around 6pm and was told they would contact housekeeping. I went out for the evening and got back and still no soap. I told reception again on Saturday morning, they phoned housekeeping in from of me to request this to be sorted. I went out for the day returning at 6pm, and still no soap. I walked past a long line at reception so I used the phone to call them, asked to speak to the manager and when I got through his mailbox was full !! I spoke to reception again to request soap. I stayed Friday night and Saturday night, three requests for soap and it never materialised! Surely every hotel provides a way to wash your hands!!!

Great hotel in a great location

My husband and I travelled with my sister to stay for 1 night while we went to see Coldplay for their last night at Wembley. We weren't sure which tube to catch so we asked the concierge for directions. He was so helpful and friendly, he even took us to the tube station and gave us some helpful tips on where to change the tube. Sorry, I didn't get his name but it was on Saturday 12th around 6.30pm. We got there and back no problem thanks to his directions. Thank you so much!
