I had to cut my trip short. I stayed for only one night, of the five nights I paid for. When I asked the concierge if there was anything I could do, he said it was only between me and my booking agent. So I called my booking agent (Expedia), and they said they would have to contact the hotel. Of course the Hotel said no. It would have saved me alot of time and aggravation if I had just been told the truth at the outset.
Also, when I asked the front desk when my 50 pd deposit would be put back on my card, he said the day I left. But the day I left, another front desk worker said the next day.
By contrast, my Canadian airline gave me a nominal refund as soon as I cancelled my flight. And I had not paid travel insurance.
The British business ideal is honesty and fairness.
The proprietors of this hotel were neither honest nor fair.
I do not recommend this hotel!
