The 1st two days there was no A/C. They discounted the rooms. They put in portable A/C units in the three rooms I had for the 2nd two days. The staff was great. Very helpful and courteous. Should I return to London I would stay here.

They had a known aircon issue. Whole hotel was roasting, yet they still seemed to have their heating on?! If they had a known aircon issue, why were they still charging their normal rates? The stay would have been fine if the nightly rate was more reasonable. Pillows were thin, no spares. Was expecting more from a "5 star" hotel. The hotel restaurant was poor. Terrible service. Took 20 minutes to get a drink, and then when I asked for another pint, it took another 20 mins to arrive, and it changed from a normal Stella to a Unfiltered Stella (well I hope it was an Unfiltered Sella as the second pint was very cloudy!).

The concept of the property was great. We had a bedroom, lounge and kitchenette including a washer/dryer. The room was clean and housekeeping came everyday. However, that’s as far as it went. The air conditioner didn’t work and they brought in a portable unit which left a cord on the floor which was a tripping hazard and exhaust piping out of the only open window. Because the window was opened, we heard noise from parties in a courtyard and drilling being done to fix problems with the train system. The lights didn’t work properly and the first night we slept with some of the lights on even after someone tried to fix it for us. The next day the hotel sent up a computer technician who finally fixed the lights. The hallway on our floor was so hot they had a portable a/c unit cooling the computer panel in a hall closet. After some negotiation the hotel didn’t charge us for one night stay of our 4 night stay and removed the charges for a dinner at their restaurant. When we asked for a paper bill showing the final balance,the printer was broken and they could not provide anything. It was only after leaving the hotel that I realized they did not offer to email the final bill to me. In all this hotel was a complete disappointment. While I do a lot of travel, I have never written a critical review of a hotel. But the situation in this hotel needs to be shared with the traveling public. BEWARE
Electric cord with portable a/c. The unit could not be moved closer to the outlet because there was piping that just reached the window from that location.

This is a 3 star hotel; not sure why this is rated high. We got a room with small bed instead of the king sized bed. Also the air conditioner was not working in room. They sent portable air conditioner for 1 room that we decided to put in the kids room. While the staff was hard working but I think management were least considerate about going extra mile to help us accommodate in the better room. After 2 days they found the room with the king size but we had tour reservations and decided - it’s 2 more days. Stay in the same room to avoid the hassle of moving everything. Least management could have done is to compensate for the 5 days on inconvenience.

Great location, the staff is super professional but the AC was not working and we had to get a huge temp ac placed in the room. The window had to be kept open allowing noise and light in. Sun sets at 930pm and rises at 430am during the summer.

We picked this hotel based on previous ratings and location. A couple things happened that were not high rating worthy. First, the light switches are all labeled but not labeled correctly so each time you use them, the lights may or may not come on as designed. You can’t turn the lights on at all unless you put your room key in a slot by the door - which no one tells you at check in. Fortunately some other guest who happened to be in the hallway helped us find the light access. Second, the AC went out. We thought it would be a day or so to fix it. It never got fixed which leads me to believe it never actually works. They offered us a portable AC unit but you had to have the window open to use it and our window opened straight to the noisy street. I didn’t think the beds were exceptionally comfortable. We ordered room service the first night after a long day of traveling and that was good. We tried doing a load of laundry… the dryer didn’t work so we had clean, wet clothes that we ended up air drying. It seemed like every utility we tried to use was a struggle. And they don’t have a shop to buy anything or even a vending machine to buy water. The closest store in just up the street and even they ran out of bottled water. This may be an ok place for a short stay, but I wouldn’t stay again.

For most of us normal folks, this is an expensive hotel for two nights. The room wasn’t ready on arrival after an overnight flight, which required a change to a different and lower room which was “the same.” Turns out you could hear and feel the underground every ten minutes. The second night the air conditioning went out and the staff was not equipped to handle the issue or compensate guests for the very uncomfortable night of sleep. There are probably much better options out there - I’d avoid this place.

Broken AC

Bit of a “bait and switch” as we say in the States. We were led to believe our suite would have a view of Tower Bridge…nope train depot. Good thing the room was soundproof. That perk ended up being negated by the fact that AC went out during a 50 year London heatwave, so we had to keep the window open. No sleep 2 of the 5 nights. Factor in the clogged sink and washing machine drain and one might want to be prepared to spend a significant amount of time on the phone with the front desk. Aesthetically, the room was nice. The restaurant was passable… don’t plan to bring in your own bottle of water though, wouldn’t want to rip them off after all. Safe travels.

Fantastic from for a family of four exploring London. The room had everything we needed, including laundry in the apartment. The location was perfect, an easy walk to the tower and tower bridge. The Tower Hill tube station took us everywhere else that we wanted to go. Hop on hop off buses pick up right across the street from the hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Everything in the hotel and the area was incredibly clean. And as a last point in its favor, the hotel restaurant, Cento Alla Torre was terrific and we had an easy delicious dinner there after checking in thoroughly jet lagged and needing a pick me up.

Spacious and clean. Luxury executive suite with kitchenette was well stocked. Pots, pans, plates, bowls, silverware. Two burner stovetop. Microwave. Washer and dryer. Dishwasher. Large spacious living room with sofa bed. Thick black-out curtains to darken the room. Kitchenette separating the bedroom and living room with a large countertop. Bedroom has a sitting vanity area. Two USB outlets at each bedside table. Two large closets to hang clothing with drawers. Ironing board and iron. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom with a heated wall behind the towel rack. Extra large towels. Liquid hand soap, Body Wash, shampoo, and conditioner at the sink and in the shower. Daily water bottles and biscuits/cookies. Very clean. Location was fantastic!! The only thing I would suggest is some kind of shutter or shade to close for privacy at the bedroom side of the kitchenette countertop between the living room and bedroom.

Extremely clean, and a very nice amount of space. We liked having the convenience of the kitchenette. Very kind staff and easy to access the tube and many dining options. Highly recommended!
