We stayed here a few years ago and thought it would be nice to come back again. We shouldn’t have. The location is great and all the staff at reception were lovely.
Our room was a massive let down. We’d paid for a deluxe room with a park view- there was nothing delux about it and the view of the park was obstructed by a concrete block outside. The carpet had brown marks all over it and one of the mugs with the kettle was dirty- not marks from tea, it was actually dirty- it had already been used and had dried tea or coffee inside it.
Go to the bar downstairs for the entertainment and great staff and stay elsewhere
Very close to everything in London. Right next to Oxford street. As this is now a Hard Rock Hotel not much memorabilia on display. Room was very expensive, but restaurant very reasonable
Hotel was convenient to the Tube - Marble Arch station adjacent. Family room was spacious and came with refillable mini-bar, robes and slippers. Staff was pleasant although could not accommodate late check out. Restaurant on site was decent - basic fare burgers, salads, etc. Staff was very nice and attentive. Overall, would stay at the Hard Rock London again, although it appears that it has now become the Cumberland.
