The facility was old and needed updating. Furniture was is worn and the blinds were filthy. The staff was not helpful, room service was nonexistent...phone went unanswered. The onsite restaurant was very un-inviting...had breakfast from off the menu instead of buffet which seemed to annoy the staff. Went once for dinner since no local resturants were available. We were the only ones there, the food was barely edible (fish n' chips). The hostess/waitress tried too much to be social to the point of annoyance. Street noises outside our room was loud with shouting and yelling into the early morning hours. Trucks making deliveries were our wake up calls, with backup beeping and general offloading noises.

The location of this hotel is really great. It is close to many of London’s attractions within walking distance. The Green Park station tube is also close by. Shepard’s Market is just across the street with many good options for supper or a few pints. The location, unfortunately, is the only thing going for this hotel. The facilities are very run down and tired. The carpeting in the rooms have stains, there were holes in the drapes and the mattresses have no mattress covers nor fitted sheeting. This was true for 2 rooms that we had reserved. The hotel is also very loud and can hear everything from the hallways and adjacent rooms. The breakfast they serve is subpar with cold coffee. The staff were generally friendly however my mother-in-law who is 80 was pushed out of the way in the doorway by the concierge without apology nor excuse-me to serve other “higher” end clients. Overall very disappointed with this hotel and would not recommend. 2 stars was given only because of the locale, otherwise it would be a 1-star.
