Lordsburg Station accommodation from NZ$91

The stay was very disappointing. The receptionist, a young man, appeared to be in an unusual state and could barely communicate with us, which made check-in uncomfortable. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor of smoke and felt unclean overall. The shower was both dirty and leaking, and the general cleanliness of the room was below standard. The bed was acceptable, though quite hard. Unfortunately, I regret booking this hotel.

We only stayed one night.

Parking was easy. But I have been staying here when traveling for over 30 years. The owners are slowly letting it deteriate. The mattresses are wore out. Even my wife who like a soft matress said they were just too soft due to being so old. The worst thing was the fire alarm in the room going off in the middle of the night for no reason. Made us jump 10 feet. After that a couple of times I told my wife let's get out of h here. This place ain't what it once was. So at 3am in the lobby I told them I was checking out. They were surprised. So I explained about the alarm going off. She stated it's been a problem. So sorry. That was it. I'll never stay there again. It's transforming into a run down flop house from my perspective.
