The location is great, the building is tired as are the room. The floor boarded squeaked every time you walked and the room was so small you couldn't swing a cat.

The location on the edge of town was perfect. It is a grand old hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good. Please note that this is an old country hotel that has no elevator so might be difficult for some to carry bags up two flights of stairs. The first room we were allocated was very small, dark and had no window. I did ask to be moved and the reception staff obliged and gave us a second floor room looking out over the ocean. The room was basic but clean and comfortable.

Beautiful building, friendly staff, second allocated room was nice. First allocated room was below expectation and i complained as that was not the room i had purchased on Wotif. Staff were responsive and allocated a better room. Evening meal was very nice.

Beautiful older building with an excellent view After being sold on the “breakfast to die for’ it was disappointing with soggy hash browns, cold coffee, and the egg and bacon run out with more having to be cooked- were told as we came at 9:00am they were running it down as breakfast finishes at 9:30 TV had no reception- told it was a reception issue although units either side were fine Window sash broken so would not stay up No milk in fridge Instructions and numbers to ring reception with any concerns but no room phone Staff very friendly and capable

Restaurant was good. Staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately, we had noisy neighbours in the room next door who were up all night talking and watching rage. Rooms not sound proof.
