Good place to stay when visiting LA. Walking distance to the walk of fame. Short drive everywhere else. 50 dollar valet but if you know how to read the streets signs a lot of street parking. Breakfast always has breakfast staples.

We stayed at this hotel in March 2025. Staff was friendly and the breakfast offerings were fresh and a little different each day. We were about a 1/2 mile walk, possibly a bit more, from the main touristy areas of Hollywood. We are from Chicago and were ok walking around with our kids, but families from smaller towns or young children may not be comfortable with that due to the homeless and rundown appearance of some properties along Vine. I will mention that none of the people on the street bothered us. We opted to rent a car only 1 day of our stay and were able to park for free on the street behind the hotel. There are some decent fast food options and more eclectic casual eateries nearby if you want to avoid super overpriced tourist places. Biggest drawbacks were that the towels in our room all had holes and the thermostat seemed temperamental—either too hot or too cold regardless of setting. Would recommend the hotel do an audit of their linens and remove those that are worn out.

The staff was fantastic! The hotel, not so much. My room was nice but there was a musty smell. The A/C was so noisy that it kept waking me up during the night. The bed was very comfortable. No airport transportation so I had to take an uber. I was able to walk to my destination where I was meeting up with friends. That is why I picked this hotel. I would not stay there again.

It was good to stay in Hollywood for a family trip to LA. This location was centralized for day trips to Santa Monica/Venice Beach, Santa Clarita, downtown and close to Hollywood Blvd, Griffith Park and Sunset Blvd. We travelled with our dogs and there was grass across the street at Taco Bell and the SSA office and down the block at the gas station. Room 313 had a ton of space for 3 adults to spread out, especially for a multi-night stay. The staff was responsive with a roll away bed when we found that the sofa bed was broken. LA is a big city and we barely made a dent in all the things to do, but I’d choose this property again if we returned for another vacation.
