This hotel states that they have a hot tub. I booked the hotel solely based on that amenity being offered. The hot tub was barely warm and we gave it about 15 minutes trying to adjust the settings in the hope that it would warm up but eventually were so cold in the HOT tub that we gave up and went back to our room. I explained this to 2 staff members, who were very apologetic but could not offer me a solution. One of the staff told me they often have trouble with the hot tub. I called the manager the following day to explain the situation, letting him know that as a patient at City of Hope I often have to stay in the area if I have early appointments, and asked if he could offer me compensation for the amenity shown on their website being unavailable. He said he’d have to check with the owner but the answer was probably no because they don’t sell rooms based on their amenities. I said, But you advertise it on your website. He said, That’s because we have one and then said they can’t be expected to check it every day to make sure it’s working. I said, but it’s often not functional so you essentially do not have an amenity that you list on your website. I told him based on his inability and unwillingness to resolve my issue, I will not be returning to his hotel and will leave a review accordingly. He simply does not care. I would highly recommend staying anywhere other than this hotel unless the only thing you want is a bed for the night.
