I did not like that the other guests had animals (dogs and cats) that were barking and meowing loudly. Our TV remote was not functioning properly. The AC would not stay on. When we spoke to the concierge about our stay (because she had asked how our stay was) and let her know about the disappointment, she did not seem to care and just said "oh ok." So there was really no point in her asking unless she was actually going to do something about it. She could have provided us with information on speaking to someone or leaving a comment. The parking was awful and we circled for several minutes and were informed by an employee in the basement level that the manhole was overflowing. We only stayed one night, but we still paid and would have liked to have had a better experience.

We were refugees from the Eaton fire, lost our home and needed a place to stay with our cat. They were very accommodating of our kitty and staff was friendly. The rooms are ready for a renovation with worn finishes and fabrics. There was no hair dryer in the room. Requested one in the evening and it took hours to arrive. The next morning went to dry my hair and found the dryer did not work. Improvements needed but it is well located and offered us a comfortable place to stay with our cat when we needed it.

they seem extraordinarily understaffed. Trying to get to the front desk by phone was ridiculous. Took 45 minutes before somebody picked up the line. hair dryer was not in the bathroom so trying to get a hold of somebody who could intern get a hairdryer up to me was a whole ordeal. The self parking was daunting as it was in a garage that served the convention center. And I’m handicapped. And the handicap places where totally filled. Maybe five available if cars weren’t in the spots. overall I was not a big fan. The place looked like it trying to be hip and cool but it wasnt executed successfully. I won’t be staying there again when I come back to Pasadena.

I arrived at Hotel Dena on Tuesday 1/7/25, the night of strong winds, fires, and evacuations. The staff was incredible, and created a calm haven in a time of chaos. I would definitely stay here again, just for the great staff, and also because the place was very comfortable in every way.
