Alternative hotel welcoming LGBTQ+ guests and as they also state in signage, heterofriendly. Rooms just a bit dark, at least mine. Perhaps the rooms facing outward can be brighter but on the inner open courtyard ring the light was minimal even on a very sunny day. But aside from that, great room, great shower, good amenities like bar and room service. No water in the room except mini-bar - I think every hotel should provide this as a standard. Or do that thing where you can fill your own glass jug in the lobby and bring to the room. Anyway, the bar was great fun with good banter albeit not large space. Would stay here again.

The room was comfy and clean, well-appointed and centrally located so that it seemed just about everything was a 6-10 minute walk. The staff was friendly and easily conversed with me in English. Even if I slept til noon and didn't leave my room until 14:00, it was cleaned on my return each day, and none of my things went missing. Highly recommended!

My partner and I loved our stay at Axel Madrid. We were in room 006, was so spacious and well designed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooftop was great and fun, with spectacular sunset views. Great location. Gym a little small. Friendly clientele, and welcoming safe space.
