If you want the whole kit and caboodle, visit the San Isidro Museum and the Royal Armoury of Madrid.

Madrid has a variety of amazing mansions and palaces that have housed the region's significant leaders. Royal Palace and Royal Palace of El Pardo are some particularly popular buildings that you and your mates must make certain you visit. If you still have a few hours to spare, don't forget to visit Archbishop's Palace or Velazquez Palace.

Going to Castillo de la Alameda and admiring its impressive architecture is a wonderful activity for anyone wanting to learn about the area's interesting past.

You needn't be a spiritual person to take pleasure in the wide variety of divine sites in and around this region. If you would like to have a look at one or two of these sacred sites, head on over to Almudena Cathedral and Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, then finish off the afternoon at Valley of the Fallen or San Isidro Church.

This destination has some other less-known attractions if you and your mates want to get off the beaten track.
