In the middle of the action, great facilities. The buffet (breakfast) was excellent. The Terrace on the buildings highest floors has a very nice bar, with lots of people, great mood and fantastic views.

Hotel lobby and staff are brilliant, the lift system is grandiose! Problems started with room 1818, it was very small and didn’t have a fauteuil and small table, just a desk and uncomfortable desk chair. Extremely annoying was the loud noise from the water pipes (apparently in the walls or ceiling) when people on higher floors took a shower or flushed the toilet all through the night. Beds were comfortable with good pillows. Breakfast was a feast with excellent choices. The restaurant on floor 26 was a true disaster, very young and therefore unexperienced staff. Not capable to cope with the crowd due to the roof terrace being closed, people next to us got the bottle of wine after they had finished their meal, our water took 35 minutes to appear. A menu not worth mentioning. Management should be ashamed! Will we go back? No way, too expensive for what you get.

Very nicely renovated hotel. Great rooms, very nice bathroom and shower. Great staff service. A service person came to the door after we arrived and brought extra water. We arrived early and they were happy to accomodate us.Breakfast was outstanding, especially by European standards, lots of variety, the very best service... prompt , effective and professional.Could not fault it and was way better than another more expensive hotel we stayed at in Madrid. Maybe not our favourite location but easy to get around on the subway..Would definitely stay again if ever there..

We have three complaints: 1) the staff are not particularly well trained, and not very helpful, at the front desk or the concierge, which doesn’t really exist; 90% of the time there’s nobody at the concierge desk and we stayed there for five days; 2) the lobby is terrible… There’s no place to sit down unless you sit at the bar… If you sit at the bar, you must have a drink and pay for it… The only other sitting area in the entire lobby are narrow benches and there’s only a few of them and they’re usually occupied by people coming and going or checking out… In other words, there’s no place to hang around in the hotel outside of your room unless you want pay money at the bar; 3) the upstairs top floor restaurant and view site is a gong show; if you’re a guest in the hotel, they give you some priority in terms of seating, but the place is is a zoo, overcrowded with people, taking pictures, bumping into your table, as the hotel seeks to maximize every single dollar it can make by crowding throngs of tourists into that space… people already been staying at the hotel and they’re all charged $10 and they march up and drove to the top floor… It was awful… Plus loud and unmelodic music plays from speakers at every table and you can’t even hear yourself think… let alone talk… don’t waste your time going to the top floor for the view unless you like being inundated by masses of people

Wonderful place to stay in Madrid. We enjoyed all their amenities and views. The rooftop is amazing and their breakfast is top notch. A lot of variety, quality and flavorful food. Our room had a great view of the plaza and the bed was super comfortable. The AC was wonderful after walking the whole day in the city. I do recommend this place if you are planning a trip to Madrid.
