I’ve relied on Zleep and the airport shuttle on my last few trips to Madrid. The shuttle is very cost efficient at €5 and always on time or early. We arrived the day of the blackout and they were still able to get us checked in without issues. Hotel breakfast is a bit pricey but offers all you can eat of deli meats and cheese, cereal, pancakes, eggs, etc. A gluten free toast/bread would be a nice addition.

As minimalist as you could get. Pillows were thin and lumpy. Light had fallen from ceiling and was hanging about a foot and a half from the teeny tiny “desk“. No closet or dresser. Almost nowhere to set anything. Temperature control in room did not work properly. The front desk people also had to serve drinks and check on problems in the rooms because there was no one in maintenance at night. On a positive note, the room did not smell and it was clean. They didn’t use extra air fresheners!

the only thing I would have liked is a vending machine that sold toiletries such body lotion. I actually walked to another hotel to purchase a small tube of lotion with aloe. Otherwise I liked my stay.
