Makawao Holiday Packages

This is a great place for a quiet get away. The beach being right out side was a great extension to the property. The staff were exceptionally helpful with any inquiries that we had and helping us book outside excursions. Definitely a place we will go back to one day very soon.

We liked the gardens and pool area, its proximity to the beach and Whalers Village. Unfortunately we stayed in room 326 in the 'Traditional' block. Traditional actually means old and tired. Our room had a door to an adjoining room and we could hear everything that was going on with the young family staying in the room next door. The bathroom was very old, the shower stall door didn't close properly. For some reason the hotel did not service our room on the last day of our stay despite us not putting anything on the door - they must have forgotten. The rooms do not have a full service each day apparently this is to conserve water. Sheets are changed every 3 days so on that day you receive a full service, on day 2 they make the bed, replenish towels, empty bins and on the 3rd day they are supposed to just empty bins and refresh towels.

My only complaint is that we didn't stay long enough. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and everything we needed. The resort itself was beautiful. We had a spectacular beach view, which was only a few minute walk to get to. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wish we had stayed a week instead of just two days.
