15 minute walk (dragging luggage) into Manchester Airport terminal-2. Directly across is the Holiday Inn, which has nice dining facilities and options plus a bar. Ibis does serve some basic bar food and bottled drinks. We did not eat there. Good location and price for one-night stays. We would not recommend for multi-nights. Small, bare bones rooms. Ours was clean. The A/C or heat worked well. The shower was fine. They do not provide a top sheet for the bed. They do not have hand or face towels. We requested and received a top sheet and an extra bath towel to substitute for hand and face washing. The mattress felt as if only 300 lb people slept alone on one side. I had the wall side and felt as if I was sleeping (or moving) downhill.

The worst baby crib/cot

The baby cot provided for our 6 month old was absolutely awful, the mattress with the crib- I wouldn’t even call it a mattress more like a thin sheet as you could feel the metal fixtures of the crib through it. There was no way a baby could sleep on that as it would hurt their body. Due to this we had to have baby sleep on the bed with us which we never do and I didn’t get to sleep all night as I was anxious due to baby sleeping next to us. Please sort this issue out as soon as possible and get better cribs/cots as babies cannot sleep in the ones you provide.
