Had a car accident (that was not our fault) in Halifax on our way to the Duck Cove Inn. Called to cancel and was told they would not accept our cancellation request as they hold a "Strict, No Cancellations" policy. I am sure their lack of humanity carries over to the way they treat guests when they stay there. There are many other more attractive options nearby. Don't stay there.

We were booked. Arrived for check in. Rude reception. We left and lost our money as they refused refund. Dirty, cluttered. All rooms had windows open on all units. Only one restaurant nearby, very basic and unacceptable. Motel was in an isolated area. Rating was well above what our experience was. Definitely would not recommend staying there.

Most overpriced place. No coffee or tea in the room. If you want complimentary coffee you had to walk out of your room outside and walk 100 ft. to the reception to get it. There were no proper drinking glass in the room. Balcony was ugly overlooking a busy highway with two unlatching chairs. I would not recommend this place for the price you have to pay.
