I’ve stayed here for over 30 years This time I felt it had lost it’s boutique charm, no trimmings anymore ( robes , slippers etc ) Didn’t feel as clean unfortunately and all the beautiful leather arm chairs and decor have been replaced with a more cheap modern look and they are not holding up with wear. It’s always been a little boutique gem but it’s lost its sparkle

This is the fifth time i have stayed here, it is my preferred place to stay in the CBD. Parking is literally right next door and heavily discounted. If travelling by public transport finders street station is right across the road. Most things like food, pubs, tourist attractions are within walking distance.The rooms vary depending on your booking but all are clean and tidy. The beds are fairly comfortable.

Touch of elegance for one night

Lovely hotel decor and feel of elegance. Reception staff were friendly. Room was small but adequate, looked out to other windows but that was the room rate i chose. Chose the buffet breakfast booked through hotels.com $32/2 people which i thought was good. Lady serving there was very friendly in her greeting of people. Also had an included bottle of white wine. No food and bad bed

I have stayed here a lot but this trip was far from good. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have slept in ever. I got in late and called for room service to be told the overnight service isn’t available any longer order Uber ! What ??

We have staying a couple of times at the Rendezvous, so we were comfortable to access this booking. Reception were welcoming and our room upgrade having earned gold status was great. I suggest earplugs if you have a room overlooking Flinders Street Station as the trains and trams are pretty constant. The only down side was house keeping, had left the door hanger to freshen our room and this was not done until well after 4pm. I left a note on the bed for bathroom amenities to be filled up. The bed had been made partially with bins emptied but nothing else.
