Mother’s Day Delight in Memphis

Picked for being dog friendly, the hotel was centrally located and delivered a fabulous level of comfort and luxury that was frankly unexpected. I don’t travel with pets, but this stay was over Mother’s Day weekend in Memphis, and my daughter was joining me with her newly adopted 45 pound dog. Not only did the hotel make us feel welcome. Upon arrival they offered dog bowls if we needed them. The beds were extra comfortable, including the sheets and pillows which - these days - is hard to come by in reasonably priced hotels. I travel with my own eucalyptus sheets and pillows but did not feel the need to whip them out for this stay. The breakfast buffet had a wide array of yummy options, and I say that as one on a specialized keto diet. My daughter enjoyed the pancakes and I loved the scrambled eggs and sausage choices. The staff was super friendly too. I know that during our stay one of the elevators was having some issues, but I’m hoping by now that’s been resolved. The hotel was located near the Memphis botanical gardens where we spent Mother’s Day and I have to say it is a must see in the Memphis area. Admission was $12 for adults and worth every penny. We were lucky enough to be there to experience the giant trolls around the garden.

Over all we enjoyed our stay. We had no issues. But our friends also stayed on a different floor and they had constant issue with little boys running through the hallway playing ding dong ditch and yelling. At one point I was coming off the elevator on their floor and not knowing these kids were acting this way they about ran into me. I told them to stop bc it was rude and got ignored so it is what it is. Breakfast could get rid of the biscuits they were terrible. Rooms could have a microwave

There were many instances of children running and knocking on doors. After the second time I opened my door, confronted two boys looked to be ages 14 and 12. They apologized and didn't come again. I called security and reported it. It also happened to my travel partners in their rooms.

Nice place on the outside.

Very nice hotel, but our room had no television service, the outlets worked but not for charging my phones. How? Small parking lot that fills up quickly. The thermostat in the room make a loud clink every 2 or 3 mins. There were no “luxury bath products” in the room and finding an employee was next to impossible.

This property surprised me… it was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of amid the brand change. The breakfast was ok, but you can't beat free and just add a little salt and pepper. Overall, I was pleased and felt safe. Good Job, definitely will stay again.

This is a weird place. It looks nice, but is older and some things aren’t updated. One elevator wouldn’t close, there was rust on the tub drain, that kind of thing. There’s no front desk, but people with laptops to help you check yourself in. This is a convoluted process that takes like 5 authentication steps, then you have to wait for a digital key to be delivered to your phone before you can go to your room. While we were there I heard a lady report that a girl got bit in the face by a dog and we were awakened by the person next door loudly cussing out her young child at 11:30 pm, which was very loud through the adjoining door. Overall it was a kind of unpleasant stay, but that was mainly due to the abusive woman next door.

The room was ok, but was very bare bones. No microwave or anything like that, and the pull out couch still had the plastic on it. There was no extra bedding in the closet, and no phone in the room to call the staff, so i had to go downstairs, wait for a staff member to venture around (no front desk to speak of) and ask for bedding. I like the QR code to your phone, but still wish there was a real live person at a desk to greet guests when they arrive, not just a self service kiosk. The breakfast was not like the pictures they post online. The "fresh friut" is just basic apple, oranges & bananas, and the waffles are warm eggo waffles. Overall Im not interested in stayin there ever again.
