The hotel is in the city center which is convenient and surrounded by great restaurants. It’s a historic building and has lots of charm. The triple bedroom was spacious and had a nice balcony. However, it was hard to carry our luggage through the narrow stairs; the pool is small and does not look like the pictures. There is no parking so you have to park at the nearby lot which can get expensive. The staff only provided 3 towels for the 3 guests but there were no hand towels or a floor towel outside the shower. When I asked for an extra towel I was told I would have to pay extra as it is considered having an extra guest in the room …. Ridiculous! The price is very affordable so you will get what you paid for.

We are a family of five who stayed there during our visit to Merida. On the positive side the placement is very nice in the old city. It felt safe. The area is very walkable and has lots of shops and restaurants. However, the standard of the room is very bare, to the point where our room did not even have a chair or a nightstand. The bathroom was very old and shabby. To be honest, not very nice. It was not very clean neither.

This hotel is affordable, had a little pool, and is close to a lot of places to eat, convenience stores, shops, and more. This part of town feels safe to walk around. The person at the front desk was very friendly. The only negative things I have is that my sink was leaking, so the bathroom floor was almost always covered in puddles, and the window/walls of the room make it so you can hear everything that's going on in the hotel. But I still liked my stay here.

To noisy to sleep

Hotel in the middle of el Centro, blocks off the Plaza on St Lucia Park. Would have been a great stay except for one huge problem. The hotel is next to a club that blares music from 9pm till 2:30am. This noise permeates the hotel rooms, making it impossible to sleep. Kavia is big enough to constrain the club or sound proof the walls between them. I have stayed in places with music in the hotel or near by but this was the worst. Staff was great, it's clean. But it was not enough to overcome the noise.

Personal freundlich, jedoch kaum englischsprechend, daher Kommunikation deutlich erschwert.
