If you want a beautiful home with a private beach, this home is perfect. It has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a full kitchen and a dining living room area. But the biggest selling point is the patio. It’s comfortable, complete with a pool and just steps from the beach. The tropical breezes and the sound of the ocean waves was amazing!This home is in San Benito which is about 30 minutes from Progreso and an hour from Merida. It’s important to rent a car so you can see all the sites. We have been to Mexico many times but never this area in the Yucatán. There are Cenotes to swim in and Mayan ruins to visit. We particularly enjoyed Mucuyche and the pink salt flats. The people of Mexico are warm and welcoming. They even tolerated our minimal Spanish. Juan, the owner and Gregorio, the caretaker were very accommodating to all of our needs. Juan gave us a list of places to visit during our time there. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone staying in the Yucatán. Thank you, Juan, for all of your help. We had a wonderful time.

Juan was very attentive and responded quickly to any questions or problems that we had. My family enjoyed the pool and how close we were to the ocean. Once a week a man would come to the beach side selling candy. He was a favorite of my girls. I loved the location. We saw very few people on the beach. The water was warm and shallow. Loved it!

Great relaxing stay

This property was exactly what we envisioned. Right on the beach, with its own pool, and with tons of space to just relax. Close to Telchac puerto, and with a convenience store and an ATM about a mile away. Juan Carlos the owner was always responsive throughout our stay. We can’t wait to come back!

San Benito Beach House

Beautiful location! This house has amazing beach views. The ocean is right at your doorstep… the water level is shallow with sand bars and warm water! The outdoor living area is large and has an unfiltered pool to dip in. There are tvs and air conditioners in all the upstairs bedrooms. Juan Carlos installed a dryer at our request! We found him to be extremely helpful and he was very quick to respond if we had any questions while we were there. He has a grounds keeper named Gregario who was on the spot anytime we needed assistance. Having our own car rental was key to staying in this location. The kitchen has basic utensils and appliances that could use an upgrade however we managed fine. There is construction close by and a bread truck arrived daily at 5pm. We got to buy delicious fresh baked goods daily from the driveway! What a treat!

Just what we were looking for! A place ON the beach! Amazing views and lots of beach to walk and explore. The pool is nice and perfect size! Lots of shade AND sun on the deck and always a bit of a breeze. We could have used a few more towels and it would be nice if there was coffee there for us but not a biggy!

Relaxing and beautiful!

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful beach house. The property was exactly as pictured in the listing and the view was phenomenal. We spent most of our time lounging on the back patio, with breaks to cool off in the pool. We stocked up on groceries in Progreso prior to our arrival. You can also walk or drive to the nearby TechnoHotel for food.

Little piece of paradise

First in for most I would like to thank Juan Carlos for opening up his home to my wife and I i’ve been coming to the Yucatán since 2009 with our destination being Chelem which in and by itself is a nice little area to get away but my wife happen to come across this house and I’m glad she did everything Juan Carlos says in the description holds true if you walk down the steps towards the water to your left About 100 yards down you’ll find two wooden swings also there is a beach club where you can find the waiter Alberto walking the beach going up the houses that are occupied you can order food and drinks he’ll bring them right to the house found that to be convenient it’s a beautiful area with beautiful water and beautiful sunsets we really enjoyed our stay thank you again Juan Carlos

The house and the beach were wonderful as well as Juan Carlos and his wife.

Juan Carlos and his wife met us and gave us an overview of the property. They provided us with water and ice which was a treat. You could walk forever on the beach and gather beautiful shells. All of the bedrooms had ac and were en suite. A relaxing and memorable 3 days!

Little peace of heaven

Juan has a great spot that is in a safe, nice & quiet area. The home quite large and has everything you will need. Make sure you leave open the bedroom curtain and wake up to the amazing sunrise every morning. There is a beautiful sand bar about 50ft out that you can walk to. This is where my husband & I went Conch picking every morning that we had Lowtide. We loved the calm water days. Juan was very accommodating and give us lots of suggestions on places to go and things to see. This home is about 50 mins from Merida & 25-30 mins from Progreso. You do need a car here. Uber isn’t always available & bus only goes past once or twice a day and we couldn’t figure out times. There are caretakers rt next door if you need any help or would like to have cleaning or cooking done for you.($) Gregario and his wife are great..we managed communicating as our Spanish is spotty & their English spottier 😊 If I could suggest anything to Juan it would be.... to have more towels & bed linens, expecially for longer term visitors. We managed as it was mostly just the 2 of us. But if our children had come we would have needed more. We hope to come back next year & Enjoy this piece of heaven. We spent New Year’s at the beach, and had a great time in the house with our family after not having visited Merida for such a long time! A plus was to view the fireworks by the ocean, sponsored by the villas next door. Visiting from Ohio.
