Nice rooms.

Not particularly friendly staff. Coffee and "hot" water were never hot at breakfast. Breakfast staff not at all friendly. The only really good staff member was the porter.

Hotel can be seen as you step from train station!

Rooms were a bit worn, but serviceable. Easy access to train station/metro. Made for a great location to sightsee from. Breakfast was excellent, although a bit noisy and crowded by the number of guests...

Not a 4 star hotel by any means

I booked this room for a short stay in Milan and expected a 4 star hotel as advertised. It was a 2-3 at best. The toilette seat was broken as was the hairdryer and shower. The list of mini bar items was far more than what was actually in the mini bar.

Convenient, but watch out for intrusive staff.

We had an unsettling experience while there. We had just checked in, and were having a nap when someone on the staff knocked and opened the door simultaneously! After jumping up and yelling at them, they said they were there to give us water? Unacceptable! We had just checked in, and so never dreamed we would need to put the do-not-disturb sign on the door. Further, the door has NO alternative lock other than the digital lock, so there's no way to keep staff out other than a door hanger. If the staff had knocked and then waited for a response it would have been inconvenient, but to come right on in is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

Very comfortable hotel

We wanted a hotel convenient to the Garibaldi train station in Milan. This hotel was right across the street -- Perfect location for us. The room was very large and very comfortable. The breakfast was included and was a nice variety of foods. The hotel allowed us to store a bag there for a couple of weeks while we traveled around Italy. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Clean, comfy and great location.

Great location next to garbaldi station. Hotel room was clean and cleaned daily but a bit 'tired' - particularly the bathroom. Staff were friendly. Wifi was a bit unreliable and not free. Bed was very comfy. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location near metro and train

Hotel is a great location for easy access right next to metro and train station. The problem I had was their service! I canceled one night of my reservation because we decided to spend a night in lake maggiore. When I wrote to them they cancelled my whole reservation! I had to rebook the other three nights and the price was higher. I did tell them but apparently didn't care to make it right. Checking in was a nightmare. If they were any slower they would be in reverse. I requested a room near the elevator because my friend hurt her knee. I reminded them of this when I checked in. He gave me the keys and I don't know on what planet he thought this was close to the elevator so I had to go back to the desk and get it changed. No apology! Yesterday we checked back in again and again I reminded the girl we wanted to be near the elevator. She assured me it was. AGAIN we get to our room and again it's a mile away! Apparently these people get NO training!

Comfortable and convenient

Decent place very convenient for the great public transport in Milan. The staff were efficient and helpful. Breakfast was decent and plenty of choice, not great coffee which is a shame to find in Italy. Close to some future developments that should make it better but it's so easy to get everywhere else in the city by Metro it's not a problem. Facilities marked down because it's a shame to pay for slow wifi access in this day and age...

Atahotel Executive in Milan highly recommended

A great hotel situated across the street from the Garibaldi train station. This was VERY convenient since we were taking the train to Naples from this very station. The check-in was efficient. The Front Desk staff were courteous, helpful and knowledgable about dining outside the hotel. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice but would highly recommend not serving runny scrambled eggs every single day. A hard boiled/soft boiled egg or fried eggs would have been a nice change. I enjoyed the fresh fruit, cheeses and breads. The breakfast staff were helpful. The location is close to a lovely open street restaurant area.

disappointed that rooms did not have tea/coffee making facilities. We had to upgrade our room, at a cost of 15 euros per night, in order to have these facilities available. Very small supply of toiletries - no toothbrush or toothpaste. No free wifi.

Room Condition

The showers went from hot to cold all the time and very quickly. The pillows were so flat you had to roll them to get any volume. The water pressure was not very hard and it was tough to take a shower without soaking the bathroom.

Room assignments and hotel rates were not professionally handled. The staff seemed to use the excuse of 'they are not authorized to decide' and yet "the managers with authority are no where to be found or contacted". Expedia prepaid hotel reservation (supposedly all inclusive) requires additional tax payments
