This was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I called ahead specifically to confirm that my room would have a full refrigerator with a freezer because I was coming into town for major knee surgery and would need ice packs around the clock. The GM personally assured me it wouldn’t be a mini fridge and told me my room would have a freezer. I checked in the day before surgery, and there was no freezer. I went to the front desk, and the same GM who promised it brushed me off and insisted there was one in my room. There wasn’t. I wanted to leave immediately bc I was worried about my recovery. Because of this, my daughter had to run out and buy a medical ice machine and stay with me for the first seven nights just to keep ice coming. Housekeeping was just as bad my daughter had to stop a maid in the hallway to get sheets and change the bed herself. My room was only vacuumed once, again only because I asked the maid in the hallway to do it. Trash piled up in the room because no one came by. To top it off, there was loud construction all day with workers smoking right outside my window. I asked Expedia for a refund since I purchased insurance and the hotel failed to provide the accommodations I was promised. The GM refused the refund. For a nine-day stay after major surgery, this was completely unacceptable. I would never stay here again.
