We actually booked a different hotel but when we arrived for check in a woman came and told us to go across the street. It may have been a language barrier, but she refused to explain anything. Luckily, the young man at the other hotel attempted to explain, although I’m still not clear why he said it was because our original hotel was closed for”today”. However when I checked on Expedia, the original hotel was still accepting reservations for the date of our reservation!! I do think we got a better room and likely a better breakfast, but it was still a tad disconcerting. Otherwise, the room was clean but carpets could use an update. They felt grungy. Breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering more than typical breakfast buffets and it had a great coffee machine. Kudos to the young man at reception who was quite lovely to deal with and very patient with this obviously annoyed client. I would probably stay here again, but would prefer a place without carpet.
