The staff was extremely kind and friendly. The lodge is so cute and offers so many amenities. The local wineries are super close (walking distance) and offer a variety of options. Will definitely book again.

Charming stay.

Charming overall set up.. Check in, breakfast , bed comfort all are 5 star rated. Bathroom pretty small and heater, though set very low still put out heat making it difficult to get room temp down.

Stayed twice and each time its lovely. Rooms are charming with sweet touches of home. Food is delicious. I especially like the towels for showering, like brand new! Bed always comfortable. Pillows could be a bit softer. Love the lodge

Location is excellent, walking distance to good restaurants and a nice park to walk through. Driving distance to great hikes and even more great restaurants. Beautiful nooks and crannies to play games or sit and relax. Fire pits to sit by. Wild flowers everywhere. Room were lacking decor so not super pretty but certainly clean and comfortable. Service and breakfast was wonderful.

I like this place a lot and wouldn't hesitate to go here again. It is a great value at this price. My one gripe is the bathroom. It is small and the shower was finicky, cramped, and too low for me. My 5'4" wife even complained about it. Otherwise, this place is pretty terrific.

We had a one night stay here last weekend. We were very warmly welcomed and were given detailed instructions on the services and directions to the room we chose. It was quiet but very convenient as there were many restaurants just 2 minutes drive away. Honestly, before choosing this place to stay for our trip, I read the comments from many other guests about this place. There were quite a few mixed opinions about the service, the rooms were not well soundproofed, etc. So when I arrived here I was a little worried because I had experienced a place where they were not enthusiastic in their work as well as treated me with racial discrimination. However, I was very happy and felt very peaceful when Carmel Valley Lodge and Resort was very warm in their service and professional in their business and treatment of their customers. We were so happy to wake up one morning in their breakfast room, a woman welcomed us very enthusiastically and prepared simple but nutritious dishes for us. We had a trip to explore the beautiful coastal roads and had a peaceful and comfortable place to rest. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us, prepared the bedroom, and served us a delicious breakfast at Carmel Valley Lodge and Resort.
