Good intentions poor execution
The hotel is clean, modern, nice, comfortable, very reasonably priced. But you always get what you pay for. I just didnt expect this kind of gripe... everything (ev-er-y-thing) runs through an app. So its frustrating to do anything. Check in was easy once you are there but after I booked it took an hour to set up the app to "self" check in. Usually you judt go to the front desk and are in the room in 10 minutes.
I literally spent 20 minutes trying to turn off the lights which can only be done through the TV. I was tired and the bed had a red glow light. I finally found a master switch on the wall but it wasnt at all aparent.
I had their package deal for breakfast. using the voucher turned out to be easy but only after 30 min following the online instructions leading to dead ends. Finally I called the front desk who had to go figure it out... basically do it the old fashioned way and tell the restaurant your room number.
It is a good concept. But we are not there with our tech yet. At least not at this pricepoint. It was all very annoying. The food is well intentioned but kind of ick...like fancy plane food. They are pet friendly, but a poor left alone dog was howling all day while I was trying to work in my room.
Again, all well intentioned but backfired for me. The bed was comfey though! Shower nice. Room clean and nice. The pool looked nice, etc. So I give it 4 stars.
There are so many hotels in the area though I think im inclined to not try this one again.
