I like that it was an all in one resort. It was a beachfront property with pool and lazy river. It was nice to have a band playing music everynight. We stayed in an oceanview efficiency. We had a great view of the ocean. The water pressure in the shower was very good. No complaints!! I would definitely stay here again!!

It was my young daughter's (11) and my 1st trip to Myrtle Beach and we chose The Sands Ocean Club Resort. We could not have been more happy with that decision. On our last day she asked if we could change our flight and stay longer! Kind of says it all about our stay!

Picture showed a full size kitchen but instead i got a hot plate and microwave that wouldn't let do 30 seconds love the view of the ocean. The last night the people was playing in the hall and knock on the wrong door and but left when i wouldn't open the door.

I had a stay for Saturday the 26th when arrived I was rushed to unload when I have 15 minutes to do so they gave me 5. The staff was very rude. I make it to my room and the balcony door is broken the fridge door is broken the fridge drawer was broken. The fridge didn’t even work , the floors were disgusting. You could see under the door to the next room which was creepy. The pictures look nothing like the actual room

Staff did not offer key information when checking in ie how to navigate property, where to get pool towels, where room was located, property amenities etc. Room was dated, needed to be cleaned better, and needed some repairs. Pools needed repairs. Balcony was extremely hot due to ac unit exhaust and positioning of walls. Would not stay here again.

Hotel room was dirty, no shower curtain in the room, toilet stopped up, the ice machine was filthy, carpets in the hallways was filthy, and the hallways smelled like cat urine. The resort is very outdated, needs to be renovated.

Great value for the price! We loved the oceanfront view and the fact we could open our sliding glass door to listen to the band playing. The room was very clean, the bed was soft & comfortable (great for a side sleeper with sore shoulders). The halls and lobbies were warm but the room was nice & cool. The elevators seemed to be the biggest hold up of our time especially during check in/out times, there always seemed to be at least one not working in each bank. Ocean Annies was lots of fun with bands playing from about noon until 11pm with a sharp cut off time. Great resort and area for the 50+ crowd. Not a ton of children around. We rented an umbrella & 2 chairs for $110 for 3 days on the beach which was totally worth every penny. Lots of complaints in reviews had me a bit worried but i was happy with everything. If you want something perfect & fancy you are going to have to pay 4x the rate at a different place.

Ok but could be better

Location is fantastic. Indoor pool and lazy river are great but the outdoor pool is small and always crowded even though there isn’t an inch of shade. The lobby is HOT. I was pouring sweat just trying to check in. The whole place could use an upgrade. The ac units are so loud that you can’t even hear ur ocean from your balcony. Beds also aren’t super comfy, my back was tight every morning.

The room was outdated, with rust on the appliances, electric panel, sinks. There was no tv in the second bedroom and the living room TV didn't work. They came, tried to fix, brought another one to sit on the table, still didn’t work and never worked the duration of our stay. The plumbing in the queen bedroom bath was slow to drain and toilet would not flush down tissue. And last but not least, a very large red roach crawled out of the kitchen after starting the dishwasher that was from 1980.
