New place, rough edges
The location is good, near lots of good restaurants, a small but well stocked grocery store. It is about 45 minutes away from the center of Naples, but close to lots of major archeological sites. The host’s brother met me, but he speaks Italian only. He was as helpful as he could be with the language barrier. It’s a new listing, and I’m the first to stay there. Lots of bumps on the way. I had 2 cold showers because the boiler has either broken or was turned off. The oven is broken, and there were some open holes in the walls for switches to be put in. The hosts provided one roll of toilet paper for 4 people and 2 bathrooms. The locks on the doors were difficult to open, and often took a long time to open and close. The TV didn’t really work, and there were emergency lights above the bedroom doors that would randomly flash a bright white. I think the property has a lot of potential, but some things definitely need ironing out. The outdoor patio area is lovely, especially when the wind blows the right way. Bus stops are close by, and pretty walks are easy to find.
