The property itself was beautiful, as were the rooms, a lot of the staff were rude and the opening hours of the food trucks and pools and water park were all very limited and it was SO expensive, everything is an extra charge with service and resort fees and mandatory gratuity on everything and then asking for additional tip, the food is average at best at multiple locations

Our second time at Baha Mar. Rooms are well thought out with plenty of room for a family of 4. We opted for the fountain view room to save some $$ and was really pretty at night with the music and fountain light show. GREAT Beach, lots of pool options, really fun water park. Food is amazing but can be pricey. Resort has options like Pizza Lab, Swimming pig and food trucks that are more affordable. Marcus restaurant is a splurge but worth EVERY penny. The food is just perfect, and the service is by far the BEST of any restaurant. The Pier is a great spot to go for a walk. Manta Rays and Sea turtles swimming by with so many colorful fish. The Jazz club is a fun spot for great music and dancing. Will definitely go back again!

Nice Resort. Lots to see, beaches are really beautiful, as are the grounds. Service fees abound in everything, and most things other than the beach, pools and fitness center require extra fees which put a damper on things. Cost for eating at restaurants are high but quality is very good. Fitness center is well done. Given the choice I would have preferred an all inclusive such as sandals where you focus on having fun and most things are paid up front.

Beautiful grounds! Family friendly?? Yes KIDS,KIDS,KIDS EVERY WHERE!!! VERY MUCH Like DISNEY… could not really relax. Screaming, fingers all in the food at the buffet. Unruly KIDS having breakdowns. The pools and beach covered with KIDS!!!! So Families… ENJOY!!!

Fun for Kids, But Bring Your Patience (and Your Wallet) If you’re looking for a lively, kid-friendly vacation, Baha Mar Hyatt checks all the boxes—water park, cooking classes, arcade games, and plenty more to keep little ones busy from sunrise to sunset. For families, it’s a constant stream of activity. For those of us who prefer a quiet, peaceful getaway… well, this is not that. I found myself feeling overstimulated more often than not, haha. The beach is decent, but the pool areas could use some love—dingy lounge chairs, towels scattered around, and a general sense of “post-spring-break” chaos at times. Rooms are comfortable and decent, service was okay, but nothing to write home about. Dining is where things get tricky. Katsuya was hands-down the star—best food, best service of the trip. Prepare to pay a premium. Breakfast for a family of four ran us over $200 daily, dinners easily hit $300+, and that’s without alcohol. A food truck nacho + small quesadilla combo? $60. Yes, you read that right. It’s hard not to feel like you’re being taken advantage of. That said, the sushi-making class was a highlight and the kids had an amazing time. In the end, it’s about the memories, and we did make some great ones—but the resort is definitely overrated, overpriced, and busier than I expected. I’ve had more luxurious vacations for far less.

It was very nice the food was good, some cheaper dining options would be great. A pool or some kind of bar that is not a restaurant would be nice. Something for families to do after hours, instead of only the casino

Our family of 4 enjoyed all the amenities at the resort! The resort is very clean and the housekeeping staff were excellent. Most of the staff were very friendly with only the exception of a few that could have used a lesson in hospitality. Our family enjoyed the water park daily along with the numerous food truck options for lunch. Dinner was very good each night as well. Numerous options for food around the resort. The only meal I didn’t enjoy was from the Sugar Factory. Very subpar for this resort. I wouldn’t waste your time or money eating here. If you’re looking to get an instagram photo I would get the fancy drinks and eat elsewhere. We will definitely return to this resort in the future.

The resort is fantastic. My kids loved it. The two bedroom suite was spacious and luxurious. The staff was helpful and friendly. The kids loved the water park and the beach was clean and easily accessible. Dining options are plentiful and convenient.
