It was ok

This was my first time at the hotel and to NOLA for my birthday weekend. When I arrived at the front desk the person looked tired and didn't smile or anything. She didn't give me information about breakfast or anything. I had to find out myself. The room was good. I slept good and I'm happy the room provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The water pressure in the shower was decent, and it didn't seem like I was taking a shower in light pressure water. When I checked out the manager didn't greet me or anything. He didn't smile and just gave me my hotel reciept. The staff needs to work on their hospitality skills They weren't cheery or anything. They didn't seem like they wanted to be there. NOT GOOD.. The only place where I felt welcome was when I had breakfast every morning. Marie who works there was so sweet and took care of me with whatever I needed. In all, it was on a great location to walk to Bourbon Street and French Quarters. The front desk needs help !!!

We had several things that were exceptional however there were, some bad things. First the shampoo container was ripped off the wall in the room 627. it was left in the shower with 2 2inch screws sticking out of it. It should have been reinstalled or replaced with another. the towels were like drying yourself with a piece of sandpaper. When we went downstairs to catch a taxi there was no place to sit while waiting for them to arrive, I am disabled and found this very difficult. Finally we had supper the final night in the hotel restaurant and I had the chicken tenders and they were overcook so much that i was very unhappy additionally my partners mac and cheese was equally bad. I dont want you to think I was totally unhappy but I really felt that I should tell you about the bad experiences.

For a Doubletree, this is a very poor quality one. The service is bad and the people who work there seem uneducated. The rooms need to be refreshed and modernized because they look old.

The room was clean but there was mold in the ceiling. There was a leak coming from the AC unit. Also, the heat did not work and it was super cold outside. For the price of the hotel, there needs to be an upgrade. The hotel was great as far as location.

We checked in to our room and noticed a weird smell. Musty? I had to use the bathroom and when you opened the bathroom door, it smelled like a chlorine pool. I picked up the top lid to the toilet and there was dry urine all over the seat. Not just a little drop. ALL over the seat. I went downstairs and the woman that checked us in seemed unbothered and dismissive. We got a different room on a lower floor, but it makes me afraid to sleep here

Front desk is rude, room AC was not working. Every night was hot. Notified front desk and it was ignored until i sent a text. Parking is valet only, bewareā€¦ $60 a night and im a Diamond Hilton Member
