If you are looking for an old New Orleans feel in a place to stay, Melrose is a good place to stay at. The high ceilings and the old hardwood floor had a charm to it.

Staff was EXCELLENT! Received an upgraded suite, and the room was very comfortable for our weeklong stay. The location was great. Only a few minutes to the heart of the French quarter, but far enough away to some peace. Buffa’s next door served as the “hotel bar” for us, and it was excellent! I would certainly stay again!

From the moment we arrived at the Melrose Mansion, we were greeted by Mike who accommodated our early check-in request. This is our second time staying here and the rooms and facilities are always clean. Excellent stay, within an easy walking distance to both Frenchmen Street and French Quarter. Clean, quiet room, friendly staff. My only recommendation would be to add some more shelving space in the bathroom. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay.

Staff and service was terrific. The bathroom in our room had issues need to be addressed. The shower leaks water under the door. The toilet is small and the seat was very loose. Also, the mini fridge in the room did not work. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

The only complaint I had was the windows that open up to the balconys do not stay open, they had to be propped up by a bar stool. And the TV in the living room was very small and did not work and the one in the bedroom was very small. Other then that everything about the plave from the service to the room to the location was perfect!
