I loved the hotel, but the restaurant lacked a lot to be desired. Also, the Carousel Bar, while theoretically cool, is always booked from open to close so we were never able to sit down. You have to stand and lurk if you're going to get a bar stool, and we're just not those kinda folks. The staff here was beyond polite and professional and really went the extra mile. Would definitely stay again, but would not eat at Criollo or hold out hope for getting a bar seat at the Carousel.

The Monteleone is okay, but I was surprised at a few things, starting with the check-in process, which went way too long and required three people. Why three pairs of furrowed brows? I had made my reservation through a “third party”, in this case hotels.com. After we got through the comedy-drama of check-in the staff I dealt with was great. While the gym could use some attention - only one channel allowed on the one TV, and a busted machine with no promise of repair - every other part of the hotel I accessed was fine. My room was clean well stocked, thanks to housekeeping supervisor Alecia and my cleaner Cathy.
