Overall our stay was very good in a great location, I would more than likely recommend this place to friends etc. I found their credit card charges exorbitant and the response to emails didn't happen, it took an international phone call to get a response.

Looking at the pictures I did a minor upgrade to queen size bed and what I expected to be a slighty better room. Not so much. Minimal room around the bed. Barely enough for two people to pass each other. Bathroom 3/4 with only enough for two if one sitting on commode. Door to room so swollen from moisture it needed eithor a kick or stout shoulder from outside to open, inside two hands and a good yank. Desk person had no suggestions. Everything clean. Lobby very nice. Tons of rooms so I'm sure many are nice. Just not ours.

I had a short but lovely stay! The hotel comprises of several cottages with lots of history and charm so it makes for a memorable visit. The room I stayed in was no-frills and low-tech, with older appliances, but it had everything I needed. The location is great too, super close to Louis Armstrong Park and Congo Square, but quiet even though it’s just a short walk from Bourbon Street. The staff were also super friendly and accommodating.

My husband and I stayed at this property over the Thanksgiving holiday. I love New Orleans and chose this property based on location as it is in close proximity to a lot of restaurants and shops. We were able to walk everywhere which was important as we did not rent a car for our stay. Street parking is available but VERY limited. The price was also a factor in my choice. Compared to other hotels within the French Quarter, this property was a bargain. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only thing that bothered me was the "old house" smell in our room - but i do understand that this is an older property and that smell can often times come with those buildings. Overall I enjoyed our stay. The area was quiet which is important to me as I am a light sleeper.

Perfect location! Just a few blocks from noisy area, but super close to everything at the same time! I would say it’s the best possible location! Hotel has very good atmosphere, beautiful courtyard. Staff are very nice and friendly. We had a wonderful time!

Booked our upgraded room from the property photos both on their site and Expedia, when we arrived our room was extremely small and had no windows at all. We expressed our disappointment with the staff, especially since we upgraded and paid more, they immediately arranged a nicer room for us and we had a wonderful time. They were wonderful with anything we needed and always available. We really appreciated being taken care of as this was our once in a lifetime trip to Nola.

My mom was unable to get out of Tampa to join us due to weather related flight cancellations. Unfortunately neither Expedia or the hotel were able to make any accommodation. The extra room was left empty through St Patrick’s Day parade week. The place is gorgeous, very nostalgic, and the staff is super kind and welcoming. While I wish the water was much hotter for our showers, it was a very nice experience and a great place to stay. Highly recommended
