The Neighborhood:

The New Bywater is a safe, friendly and laid-back area, rated as one of the top 10 hippest neighborhoods in the country by the New Yorker. We are two blocks from the Marigny/Bywater buzz, and are a short Uber to the French quarter. We are located one block from St. Claude, in the St. Roch area, aka the New Bywater.



Right across the street is a top rated local coffee shop. We are within close walking distance to some of the best bars and restaurants in New Orleans -- our favorite spot nearby is Bacchannal. Whether you’re a family, colleagues, or a group of friends, the Bywater has something for everyone.



Getting Around:

The best way to get around is by bike or Uber. The main Bywater dives (The Country Club, Oaxalis, Suis Generis, Elizabeth's, etc.) are less than a 5 minute walk. The French Quarter is a short taxi/uber away; however, many locals prefer to spend time here in the Marigny/Bywater, on Frenchman Street, or in the local galleries, restaurants, bars, and cafes that are all nearby.



Walking in this neighborhood is safe, but we do recommend that you be aware of your surroundings at all times and make sure the door is locked as you come and go.
