We love the renovation of the historic site and reading about the original use of the building, much better than going into a new hotel building without any character or charm. It is such a close walk to everything in the French Quarter and, yet, very quiet and the surrounding streets are safe and clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

The room we booked had a broken AC so they set us up at the Westin across the street which was a solid gesture. The problem with that was the Westin had a terrible AC system and we had to sleep in a warm room. Would have preferred that we be notified before checking in so that we could cancel our booking and search for a hotel room on our own

The hotel was located close enough to Canal and Bourbon st to walk there but not too close so it was quieter. We had daily housekeeping. The included breakfast was not much but was ok.

Honestly loved this hotel. It’s close to the French Quarter, but not in it, so you avoid a lot of the crazy noise. The rooms are so cool; you’re in an old sugar mill and I love the character. We had giant beams in ours. But also, the rooms are new and well taken care of. Would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful staff, very clean, good location. The trains and ships run close to the hotel so you will hear them blow their horns, but it didn’t bother us.
