Excellent hotel pros: clean, spacious, high ceilings, fancy looking furnishings cons: noisy (because it's so close to the action, but just know what you're getting into); ants, busted springs in bed.

The room was clean and well appointed. The staff was all great and helpful. I've stayed at the Monteleone, Royal Sonesta, and the Omni, and the room here was every bit as nice. The only exception was the tiny bathroom; I could literally wash my hands while sitting on the toilet. It was no issue for me a a solo traveler, but if you are looking for things like a bathtub or counter space you might be disappointed. The hotel bar was closed which is why I didn't give it 5 stars - but there was a good bar literally across the street.
