This was a great hotel. Very clean and quiet, but still in the middle of everything. It is really close to the theater district so great if you want to be able to walk to the theater. Great restaurants in walking distance as well. We had a fabulous time.

Keycards Don’t Work

Staff was incredible. We were in a street facing room where a lot of construction was happening early in the morning and making it hard to sleep. The staff switched our room the next day to one more central and quieter than the last. Unfortunately the property has some major issues they need to work out. None, and I mean none, of their keycards work. Which sucks when you also need to use it to go up the elevator. We had 5 keycards in total and almost none of them worked immediately. We had to be let into our room and the elevator multiple times by staff. They said the problem with the keycards are because guests are putting them too close to their phones and credit cards and it’s messing them up. That is completely bull. Even the brand new keys we were given didn’t work. Until they’re able to solve their keycard problem the price is not even close to worth it.

From arrival to departure, I loved my stay at this property. Upon arrival the staff greeted me warmly and accommodated my request for a corner room. My room was exactly what I needed, clean, well maintained, and relatively quiet. (There was construction going on across the street from 8am-5pm but I was mostly out the room during this time so it didn't bother me much.) The only issues that I experienced were the door keys weren't programming correctly when I got there so I had to wait a few hours for a room key (the bellman escorted me to my room so that wasn't a huge issue) and there was no counter space in the bathroom to lay out my curling iron, make up, etc. Both of these issues were minor inconveniences and didn't impact me enough to make a real difference in my stay. All in all, I really enjoyed this hotel and the area. I travel to NYC frequently for work and look forward to returning here soon.

A super solid offering in Manhattan in a terrific location. Just slightly north of the craziness of Times Square, within easy reach of Central Park, and lots of restaurants around. Sister property to The Empire, similarly outfitted, but in much better condition. I have a feeling that their management software is in need of an upgrade, and I had to have my key card re-keyed four times for a three night stay. No one‘s fault, but that seemed a little bit excessive for what I’m used to.
