No sleep for me

I chose this hotel because of its high rating (9/10) and close proximity to my preferred parking garage and public transit, but I want to remember never to stay here in future. I was placed on the 7th floor, directly across from the elevator banks, which already wasn’t great news for sleeping. But the noise from trucks on 41st street was unbearable. I think there is an active 24-hr loading dock behind the Aladdin theater and NYT building. Combined w the scratchy sheets, I had a terrible night of little sleep.

Amazing location, decent gym, mixed front desk staff (good supervisor, but some less knowledgeable regarding essential billing and payment systems, some not very friendly, one very pushy gentleman trying to sell me their airport shuttle), disappointing maintenance status (shower not great - rattled when at correct temperature, some electrical outlets and safe not working), mediocre room service (didn't show up on some of the scheduled days - they are scheduled only every other day anyway), slack security, overcrowded breakfast room (we tried several times) but nice selection, plenty food and friendly kitchen staff, insufficient number of elevators (all three were working; it would have been truly horrible if one was out of service)

The check in staff was nice. You cannot really see anything special in the city view room and the roof top view area was closed. Powder eggs at breakfast. But the craziest thing was that there was a pair of underwear behind the toilet in our room at check-in. It makes you concern about the cleanliness of the room

Great room and stay for a great price

3 of us stayed in a 2 bed queen room. We each had a carry on and a bag there was plenty of room. The closet is on the smaller side. The room does have a fridge. We were on the 5th floor and had a view of the street. The bathroom has a sliding barn door so you can hear everything that goes on in the bathroom. The staff was very nice and they even text me a few times throughout my 2 night stay which was very a very thoughtful touch.

The staff were amazing, rooms are small but ok for the price. Buffet breakfast is very good and convenient to have it specially for the cost and time saving. Subway station is located less than 3 minutes and you are going to be near broadway theaters, shopping, restaurants, Bryant Park and the heart of Time Square. I recommend it.

I loved the fresh hot coffee and tea that was always available in the lobby. The included breakfast was also awesome. The location was ideal for getting around quickly and easily from a central location.

The shower pressure was terrible, and the lighting on the street at night where the hotel is, is not safe. They had a security guard outside but still very sketchy people outside the hotel.
