Rooms are non smoking but you can’t even breathe inside the room. People are smoking a lot. We went inside one room then another and both were smoke infested smell. We asked for refund and left. Property looks nice once inside. The area where it is not so nice. Front desk was very nice. I think the people staying there are bringing it down.

We booked hotel online for close location to St. John’s Univ. No mention on website of parking conditions. Arrived and was told we needed to find parking space on narrow one-way street in front of hotel or car would be towed. Only about 15 spaces. None available. We tried to squeeze over to wait for a spot to open. Buses coming and blared horns. We went around and round but no luck. Graffiti all over boarded up walls along street, and man picking up butts along street. Dark. When a space did open, cars fighting for spot, horns blowing. After an hour, left. Went in and said we didn’t know where to go. Rude, no help. Forced to try to back up fast several times to get spots, other cars blocked so they could get it. After a hour we were exhausted and stressed. No valet. They said they wouldn’t let us cancel.They are independently owned so they make their own rules. Lost our $200.00 and went to a nearby Marriott.
