Chris at the front desk was exceptionally kind and helpful. He is the most outstanding employee at the hotel. He went above and beyond. When I called to say my train might be delayed due to storm on the east coast altering my check in time he was so understanding, and offered me an upgraded room knowing it was potentially a challenging commuting day for me. He also made sure I had a quiet room away from the elevators so I could work and sleep soundly before a big work day. It was a cold night and when I requested extra bedding he included slippers and a robe for me to be delivered to my room, while I was out dining locally which by the way had a ton of attractive options. All this to say as a solo traveler I felt really welcomed and cared for here. The only things missing a bit were the breakfast and restaurant options which I am told will be upgraded in March. The hotel is older so if you are into that sort of thing in terms of finishes and layout you will appreciate that. I appreciated the quiet here very much and the room size as compared to other local hotels.
